Dr. Topper was a Dr. Pepper knockoff, that was made by the company named Clover Valley. Dr. Topper is sold exclusively at Dollar General stores, which carry Clover Valley brand products. Found all over the United States, and in a handful of international locations, as well, Dr. Topper is sold alongside a Mountain Dew knock-off, known as Mtn Explosion. Dr. Topper is available in 12 packs, as well as in plastic bottles, though it may have stopped being produced in plastic bottles.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic the availability of Dr. Topper in cans is some what scarcer, as Clover Valley being a small brand, has difficulties in keeping multiple locations well stocked. This has led to a somewat sporadic and infrequent availability for both Dr. Topper and the brand as a whole. Dr Topper has been likened in taste to Dr. Thunder.
Dr Topper was introduced sometime in the early 2000's, and its availability in plastic bottles was halted in the early 2010s, leaving it only a can flavor. As of 2022, the soda is somewhat more difficult to find than Dr. Thunder and other Dr Pepper knock off brands.
